From Coffee Dreams to Mexican Cuisine: The Figo's Journey
In 2016, a dream began to take shape in the hearts of Maria and Figo. Their vision was to open a cozy coffee shop where friends and neighbors could gather, share stories, and savor the warmth of a well-brewed cup of coffee. Little did they know that destiny had even grander plans in store for them.
As the years passed, Maria and Figo's dream grew stronger, their passion for hospitality burning brighter with each passing day. Then, in March 2019, a serendipitous moment unfolded that would change their lives forever. While driving by a charming building, they noticed a "For Sale" sign adorning its front, and fate seemed to beckon them closer.
Without hesitation, they contacted the building's owner and engaged in a heartfelt conversation. Their enthusiasm and unwavering determination convinced the owner to lease them the building, setting the stage for a remarkable journey ahead. With doors officially opened in March, their coffee shop quickly became a beloved community hub, especially cherished during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic when the drive-thru service proved to be a great success.
But why Mexican cuisine, you might ask? The answer lies in Maria's rich culinary background. With over a decade of experience and a husband who shared her love for Mexican flavors, the transition to a Mexican restaurant felt like a natural progression. Maria had previously honed her skills at three different Mexican restaurants, mastering the art of crafting authentic, mouthwatering dishes.
The seller of the building not only helped them secure the lease but also worked closely with Maria and Figo to pave the way for them to eventually become proud owners. Recently, this dream became a reality as they completed the purchase of the building, cementing their place in the heart of the community they've come to love.
